What is PRF?

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a healing concentrate made from your own blood. This membrane is placed directly at the surgical site, where it acts as both a natural scaffold and a sustained-release system for your body's own healing signals. Does the blood draw hurt?

It is a simple venous blood draw from your arm — exactly like a routine blood test. It takes less than a minute. The PRF is then prepared while your surgeon sets up, and applied during your procedure under the same anaesthesia. You will not feel any additional discomfort.

Is PRF safe?

Extremely. Because PRF comes entirely from your own blood, there is zero risk of rejection, allergic reaction or disease transmission. No chemicals are added at any stage. It is one of the safest regenerative techniques available in any field of medicine.

How is PRF different from PRP?

PRF is the next generation. Unlike PRP, it requires no anticoagulants or additives — just your blood. It produces a solid fibrin scaffold (PRP is just liquid), releases growth factors steadily over 1-4 weeks (PRP releases in hours), and contains white blood cells for natural infection defence. It is simpler, more natural and clinically more effective.

How much faster will I heal?

Which procedures use PRF?

What is 'sticky bone'?

When we mix the liquid form of PRF (called i-PRF) with bone graft particles, it creates a mouldable, cohesive material we call 'sticky bone.' It does not crumble or shift during surgery, stays exactly where we place it, and the PRF growth factors actively stimulate new bone formation within the graft. It is one of the most effective innovations in bone regeneration.

Does PRF add time to my appointment?

Barely. The blood draw takes under a minute, and centrifugation runs in the background for 12-14 minutes while your surgeon prepares. By the time surgery begins, your PRF is ready. Most patients do not notice any difference in appointment length.
